Long overdue, downtown lands a significant festival highlighting Jacksonville unique culture. The Oyster Jam is a huge down-home oyster roast and music festival with over 15 bands rocking on the river. The eclectic sounds of a variety of music styles so everyone can sway the afternoon away. Metropolitan Park provides the perfect waterfront environment for the beer enthusiast, that is passionate about their beer drinking experience. A select group of micro brewery’s will be at The Oyster Jam. The beer goes well with the large selection of traditional festival foods along with raw and specialty oysters.

Inspired by Gary Mack, an Atlantic Beach native artist, the Oyster Jam poster came to life through the festival vision. The 2-day Oyster Jam Music Festival host an Arts Village full of art and exhibitors showcasing glass, jewelry, woodworking, clothing, furniture and other hand-crafted gifts.
The Oyster Jam would not be complete without the SHUCK’N CONTEST. Shuckers will compete to see who can shuck 12 of the cleanest and most appetizing oysters in the fastest time. These shuckers will go head-to-head on Sunday at 3pm to see who wins the first place CASH prize and the title The Oyster Jam Master Shucker! Register now!
Jacksonville’s first ever OYSTER COOK-OFF offers locals and area restaurants a chance to showcase their best Oyster Rockefeller and Specialty Oyster. Winners are selected with a Peoples Choice Award and local judges who include food critics, media personalities and sports celebrities.
The festival kicks off Saturday, April 12th from 10am-8pm and runs through Sunday, April 13th from 10am-6pm. Admission is $10 for adults, teens and children under 16 are free with accompanying adult.
